When Kavita first spoke with me on the phone, I clearly remember the way my brain went into hyper-speed coming up with song combinations and how excited I got about her and Todd's wedding. It would be a small gathering of family and friends from all over. They wanted US Top 40, Bollywood, Bhangra, Hip Hop, and a variety of other genres. After college, I spent 2 Summers in an area of West London that is predominately Southeast Asian. I was introduced to a whole world of food, music, and culture I had known nothing of before. Eager to convince her of my ability to blend and transition between various music styles in the specific way they needed, I quickly made her a custom preview mix (not something we can usually offer). They loved it and booked us for their big day.
